LQAF Scholar Spotlight: Yehsiming Jue, Artist and Art Professor

La Quinta Arts Foundation visual arts scholar Yehsiming Jue is an artist and art professor located at the Coachella Valley. The LQAF art scholarship program allowed Jue to research at College of the Desert, and at UC Riverside. She also earned a BFA in Studio Art and Art History at UC Riverside, and an MFA in Claremont Graduate University. Jue works as an art professor in College of the Desert. This spring, she will teach a class on Basic Design & Color in the Indio campus.
Jue are also engaging in the Marks Art Center in the COD Faculty Art Show, on screen.
Jue feels honored to be revealing next to some her undergraduate academics. Her paintings and drawings explore the figure, place in worlds that are naturalistic and surreal.
The Marks Art Center will sponsor an Artist Reception, on Wednesday, February 7 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm that’s free and available to the general public. In keeping LQAF’s mission of “Promoting and Cultivating the Arts,” that the Visual Arts Scholarship application is made possible with proceeds obtained from LQAF public art events such as the La Quinta Arts Festival, also La Quinta Arts Foundation earners and donations by sponsors, community partners and memorial contributions. LQAF student recipients are entitled for funds for up to five decades.
